John Paley, M.A., APCC
John has experience providing individual, family, and couples counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical approach is rooted in integrated, evidence-based, and client-centered methods, including Adlerian therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, and family systems perspectives.
He supports clients navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and communication challenges, school-related stress, identity exploration, and major life transitions. John has extensive experience helping clients process difficult childhood experiences, family conflicts, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that keep them feeling stuck. He works with teens and young adults facing burnout, academic pressure, social concerns, and motivation issues, as well as couples seeking to strengthen their connection and rebuild trust through structured approaches such as the Gottman Method.
John strives to create a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. His goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop emotional resilience and healthier coping strategies, and foster meaningful, lasting change in their lives and relationships.
He believes that mental health isn’t about becoming someone completely different; it’s about learning to feel safe, seen, and supported as the person you already are. John reminds clients that everyone has the capacity to grow, and therapy can support them in navigating their inner journey. You don’t need to know all the answers to heal — we begin where we are, with kindness and grace toward ourselves. Strength isn’t the absence of struggle, but the courage to keep choosing yourself and your healing.
