Alicia Becton, LPCC, APC, CRC, NCC

Alicia Becton graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Services from East Carolina University in North Carolina in 2007. She subsequently earned in Masters of Science in Counseling in Rehabilitation – Mental Health Counseling in 2010 from North Carolina A&T State University. Alicia is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who values establishing a compassionate and supportive environment, while providing an integrative approach to assist each client in achieving positive mental health. Alicia has approximately 12 years of clinical experience using strength based, culturally responsive, and multi-theoretical approaches. Her areas of specialty includes co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, relational and communication concerns, life transitions, work related stress, and post-traumatic stress disorders. She has extensive experience in providing individual and group counseling through evidence based practices. Her theoretical orientations include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy/Mindfulness and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Alicia takes pride in assisting clients in fostering a sense of meaning and purpose, while working collaboratively with individuals and their families.
